Infused Apple Butter Recipe
Servings: Makes about 2 cups
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 2 hours
Ingredients:
- 6 medium apples (Gala, Honeycrisp, or Fuji), peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1/2 cup apple cider or water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Cannabis oil from the New York Honey Wedding Crasher Dab Dart (see dosage instructions below)
Instructions:
1. Measure out your desired amount of cannabis oil from the Wedding Crasher Dab Dart. For a moderate dose, aim for 50–100 mg of THC for the entire batch, which equates to roughly 0.1 to 0.2 grams of oil, depending on its strength.
2.. In a large pot, combine the chopped apples and apple cider (or water). Cover and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and tender.
3. Once the apples are soft, use an immersion blender to puree the mixture until smooth. Alternatively, you can transfer the apples to a regular blender and then return the puree to the pot.
4. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract. Reduce the heat to low and cook the mixture uncovered for 1.5 to 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until the apple butter thickens and darkens in color.
5. Once the apple butter has thickened, remove it from the heat. Stir in your pre-measured cannabis oil, making sure to mix thoroughly to ensure even distribution throughout the apple butter.
6. Allow the apple butter to cool before transferring it to jars or airtight containers. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks, or freeze for longer storage.
Dosing Guide:
This recipe makes about 2 cups of apple butter. The total amount of THC in the batch will depend on how much oil you infused. For example, if you use 100 mg of THC for the entire batch, dividing it into 20 servings (about 1 tablespoon per serving) will result in approximately 5 mg of THC per serving. Adjust the dosage based on your tolerance and preference.
This infused apple butter is versatile and delicious. Spread it on toast, swirl it into oatmeal, or mix it into baked goods for an extra layer of flavor. The calming effects of Wedding Crasher make it perfect for cozy fall evenings, whether you’re relaxing solo or sharing it with friends.
